SUBURB ALLERGEN STATEMENT

Dear Customers/Visitors with Allergies and/or Intolerances

Suburb Bar & Restaurant operates in an open kitchen environment and is unable to guarantee a completely allergen-free environment. With this transparent information disclosed to our customers – the customer(s) should make a safe and informed decision which suits their needs and/or allergy/intolerance needs, even if it means they should avoid visiting us or dining with us or ordering food or drink to eat in or take away from our restaurant.

Every guest who identifies as having an allergy or intolerance should ask to be directed to the Allergen Folder containing comprehensive allergen information. This is kept at our office in our Suburb Bar & Restaurant premises. The perspective customer(s) should read the Allergen Folder containing comprehensive allergen information very carefully to assist them to make an informed decision as to whether or not to enter our premises and/or whether or not to order any food and/or drinks from our restaurant whether such food is consumed on or off the premises.

Due to the nature of our kitchens and the type of cuisine prepared and served at Suburb Bar & Restaurant, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment and/or product(s). Therefore, guests ordering with allergies or intolerances do so entirely at their own risk. However, we take every measure possible to reduce risk and cross-contamination albeit we cannot guarantee elimination of cross contamination, risk and traces of allergen in our drinks, products and dishes.

Suburb Bar & Restaurant will aim to minimise the risk of exposure, encourage selfresponsibility, and plan for an effective response to possible emergencies. This requires not only our staff but also our customers themselves to be extra vigilant by means of effective communication and informing us in good time of their allergies and/or intolerances so to prevent any unwanted incident.

By remaining in our restaurant and/or ordering food for consumption on and off our restaurant (despite being informed of our limitation in respect of prevention of allergy cross contamination), you the customer(s) accept the full responsibility for the consequences which may arise out of and in connection with your allergies and intolerances.
